The Brief History of SMA YP UNILA
Based on the 1945 Constitution Article 31, paragraph 1, which states "Every citizen has the right to education," and the Mandate in the preamble of the 1945 Constitution in the fourth paragraph, which states "...to educate the nation...," the Rector of Lampung University, as the Chairman of the Lampung University Foundation in 1981, issued Decree No. 115/kpts/R/1981 regarding the Establishment of SMA YP Unila. This school originally served as a place for students to pursue knowledge from the Faculty of Education at Lampung University, which has now become one, located in the Gedungmeneng Village in Bandar Lampung. The establishment of the High School under the Lampung University Foundation in 1981 was conducted under the auspices of the Lampung University Foundation, as recorded in Notary Deed No. 45 dated February 26, 1974.
Since its establishment, SMA YP Unila has continuously strived to improve the quality of teaching and learning, aiming to achieve maximum achievements. Considering the increasing attention from the community towards SMA YP Unila, it is hoped that this school can produce academically capable and technologically proficient students who are intelligent and skilled, grounded in religious values that guide the character of each student and graduate to be devout to the One Almighty God.
Recently, SMA YP Unila has become one of the priority and leading choices for parents seeking education for their children. Therefore, it is a challenge for the School Principal, Teachers, Staff, and all educational personnel in this school to seek various innovations to enhance the quality of teaching and learning at SMA YP Unila to meet the demands of the times, particularly in the field of education.
